"INNOCENT DEATH"
With “Innocent Death”, Munich-based Metal/Hardcore band Drøver release their second EP (17.07.2026). Across five tracks, the record explores topics that are often only talked about once it’s already too late: domestic violence, mental health struggles and bullying.
About the Band
Since the release of their debut EP, DRØVER have made a name for themselves in the German Hardcore scene through a DIY tour across Germany and support shows for Heaven Shall Burn, Sunami and Tenside.
While still taking inspiration from bands like Guilt Trip and Get The Shot, DRØVER have developed their own sound with a stronger focus on memorable guitar work and hard-hitting riffs. Heavy without feeling overproduced, the band has deliberately kept the raw edge that defines them.
Background
The EP takes its name from its title track, Innocent Death, which focuses on the subject of domestic violence. The song is dedicated to those who become victims through no fault of their own and sheds light on the often invisible consequences that violence leaves behind.
Because this topic is especially important to the band, the release is accompanied by a charity T-shirt. €5 from every shirt sold will be donated to Wildwasser e.V. Munich, an organisation that supports people affected by sexualised and domestic violence.
Production
Despite the band’s growing experience, Innocent Death remained largely a DIY project. With the exception of the music video for the title track, every video was produced by the band themselves. The EP was recorded in their home studio in Munich, while mixing and production were handled by 1408 Productions in Hanover.
The record also features guest appearances by Friends of the Show XOXO, who joined DRØVER on their Germany tour, and Waves Like Walls from Ingolstadt. The EP also includes a small surprise in the form of a rap interlude, where drummer Joshi steps away from the drum kit and takes over the microphone.
